    Still Very Cold in Co. Antrim

    Still very cold North of Belfast. Here's a shot back towards the Newtownabbey area. Belfast is 500 ft below and beyond the gap in the hills near dead centre. We're at 1050 ft here.
    These are much the same. 20 miles distant is the industrial area of Mallusk & Newtownabbey. Looks pretty misty and much of that is smoke/steam.
    The areas of Ballymena and Broughshane are being hit hard by frozen water mains. Cap that with frozen sewers getting blocked with ice slush causing methane fume problems. This is the coldest period in these parts of Northern Ireland for quite some years.
    Bitter cold is set to return by New Year.
